I feel that I am very lucky because I joined The School of Law at Xiamen University, which is one of the most beautiful universities in the world, as I am enrolled in the first batch of the COTP program. I am studying a two-year master’s degree in the field of financial and international taxation, sponsored and supported by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development - OECD, an organization that has a high standing in the tax community Global financial and international taxation, Where multiple tax topics are studied, I have broad horizons and make me see that everything I present in my work within the Egyptian Tax Authority is just the first rung of the ladder, and I still have a lot of what I have learned to present to the Tax Authority in my country. This is due to the interest in studying through the selection of carefully selected specialized professors have an Extreme knowledge in the field of taxation at the world level, whether from university professors, from the OECD , STA, major multinational companies, major tax offices. This is done through simplified explanation and practice of practical cases. We know the value of these professors, and we also know that this practical study may not come again, It just comes only once in a lifetime and it is priceless.

In addition, I was participate in One of The most important Conference in the World. Which is The China-Africa Tax Administration Cooperation Innovation and Technical Conference. Sponsored by STA - The State Taxation Administration at Hunan Provincial, Which gave me the opportunity to discuss the topic related to Application of IT in China-Africa Tax Administration Capability Building . Many leaders of tax authorities on the African continent, leaders of the Egyptian Tax Authority and the Ministry of Finance, were hosted at this conference. Also we visited the Hunan Province tax region, where the high technology impressed that we hope and strive to reach such a development as STA is witnessing. My leaders also expressed their admiration for the strong COTP study program. Which contains many practical studies and interest in it, sponsored by STA, which is keen to overcome all obstacles burdening students with taxes through practical exercises.

Also, Xiamen University has not neglected the human and personal aspect of the students, but rather is keen to pay attention to international and expatriate students by listening to the problems that they may face in an effort to solve them. I received this honor by being chosen as an official spokeswoman, representing students belonging to the continent of Africa and my country, Egypt, in a small conference in our campus. In the presence of The Department of African Affairs of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, And some leaders from Xiamen University identified the problems that expatriate students may face in an effort to solve them, which made all expatriate students feel safe and secure and that there is an eye that does not ignore any difficulties that may relate to them. In addition to ongoing activities such as tourist visits, such as visiting the Silk Road, the tea ceremony, and others, which made me more knowledgeable about Chinese culture.

For me, studying at Xiamen University was not just a study. Rather, I felt that I was in the heart of my country. The Chinese people in general are a kind, generous and very helpful people. They make you feel that you are not alienated, but rather find yourself in a country of a high safety and security, and at a time when I found that I was far from my family thousands miles, I did not feel alienated and lonely. On the contrary, I saw from my colleagues, professors, and the university’s work team a second family with whom I felt reassured, warm, and cared for.

We have started the second academic year 2023 with a very distinguished start in Yanzhou Province, and I expect more exciting and wonderful events to occur during the second academic year, as I have become accustomed to the occurrence of many unexpected wonderful events from the Xiamen University family.

Therefore, I strongly recommend studying at Xiamen University as a whole, which is a microcosm of the disciplined, organized, cooperative, and moral Chinese people, and especially the COTP program at the Graduate School of Law, which did not satisfy all the words I saw of the effort made to make this program success, and I know well that many universities may strive in the future. Providing such a program that makes you look at the tax system in a different way means that there is still a lot we have not yet provided in the tax field.
